In a recent document produced by HSE they outlined the importance they put on minimising the risks of slips and trips due to trailing cables in their own offices.
Their solution comprised of the use of under desk cradles fixed to the desk frame between the pedestal and the underside of the worktop. The power and data cables from the floor box to the desk leg are wrapped in spiral bounding to prevent them coming apart and run at the back of the desk.

A large number of offices across the UK have the unsightly mess and potentially dangerous trailing cables across floors, back of desks, between desks, printers etc.
